It is water decaffeinated, something that you can tell right away when compared with any other supermarket green teas. It is refreshing every time. A gentle lift to start the day, and anytime during the day - no jitters, which some decaf tea gives you. Flavor is distinct. I have been drinking this succulent beverage for many years. Sorry supermarkets have chosen to discontinue carrying the Salada brand, and happy I can get it online at Amazon.
